Indian Railways- definition of a superfast train
02 JUNE 2014
As a citizen of this country, and as a customer of the Indian Railways, I have often wondered what is the definition of “super fast express”. As the description reads, it should be logically this way: the average distance traveled per scheduled stop between the starting point of the train and its terminal station, should be above a minimum number, excluding the starting and terminating stations. Similarly, the distance between two consecutive stops should have a minimum distance. Can Indian Railways be transparent about these two minimum parameters and share this information with the traveling public?
